Saint Bellamy is my fictional Black Louisiana city, about an hour from New Orleans. Close enough to know better. Far enough to do it anyway.

So I gave my women a whole city. Beautiful homes. Good restaurants. Old family names. New money. And every opportunity to behave.

I was gatekeeping
the good fragrance.
I’ve loved fragrance for years. Mixing notes, trying combinations, and making something that felt like me became its own little obsession.
Then came the questions. In passing. In the middle of my day. “What are you wearing?”
Date Night and New Money are my showstoppers. Every time I wear them, somebody has something to say. Eventually, I decided my homegirls deserved to be in on it.
